Best thing about hockey:  Friends made along the way

Worst thing about hockey:  Kit smell!

Best rink:  Hull is like a second home thanks to the Hockey School and the ice is really well looked after

Worst rink:  Close run thing between Streatham and Medway

Best hockey memory:  Seeing a couple of friends dancing in the balcony at the Swindon tournament when I scored

Team you like playing against the most:  New to this league, but Basingstoke Bears in Div 1, I know a fair few of the players

Team you dislike playing against the most:  Rarely dislike playing at all!

Teams you support:  Guildford Flames and Calgary Flames

Hockey idols/Players you admire:  Jarome Iginla, Dion Phaneuf, Chris Pronger from the big leagues, Lukas Smital and Martin Masa for giving me so much help and Ian Herbers for making me want to play in the first place

Funniest moment while playing hockey:  Losing an edge on the forecheck and sliding the length of the zone Superman style. Luckily only in practice and known to close friends as Captain Calamity ever since

Favourite music:  Pretty broad tastes but Red Hot Chili Peppers are long time favourites

If you could meet one person, dead or alive, who would it be?  Stephen Fry. So clever it hardly seems fair

Who would you most like to be stuck in an elevator with?  Either an engineer or a medic

If you had to be trapped in a TV show for a month, which show would you choose?  Mythbusters. How can blowing stuff up for science ever get old?!

Would you be willing to eat a bowl of live crickets for £10,000?  That would seriously go against my vege morals!

If you could have personally witnessed one event in history, what would you want to have seen?  Don’t know about one event but I’m fascinated by the Romans

If you could have one superpower, which would you choose?  Regeneration, I hate getting injured!

If you could plan a two week trip anywhere in the world for yourself, all expenses paid, where would you like to go?  Alaska, with a tent, a dog sled and my board – and preferably a guide as I have no sense of direction!

If you could be a guy for one day, would you do it?  Definitely, it’s always good to see things from the other side
